Next up in the Smashing Pumpkins extensive reissue campaign is the 1996 box set The Aeroplane Flies High. So, it's a reissue of a box set that was, in its original form, already a reissue of the band's earlier singles. Such is the music industry in 2013. The original The Aeroplane Flies High, one for the diehards, contained five discs' worth of expanded versions of singles from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness ("Bullet With Butterfly Wings", "1979", "Zero", "Tonight, Tonight", and "Thirty-Three").
The new reissue will be out through Virgin/UMe on July 23, and will come in four different versions, all containing remastered audio: a six-CD/one DVD set, a five-LP set, a deluxe digital version, and a standard digital version.
The physical box sets and deluxe digital version will contain the original 33 tracks, plus a whopping 90 additional audio tracks and 14 audio/visual tracks. That includes unreleased demos, rarities, and live tracks from the Mellon Collie tour. The DVD features footage from a 4th of July gig in Belfort, France in 1997. The physical versions contain a new 46-page booklet featuring liner notes by writer David Wild, and track-by-track commentary from Billy Corgan.

Once a year? I might be ok with that
Can I take the time out of my busy schedule to try to blog once a year? I think so.
On second thought, ain't nobody got time for that!

Why do you even bother?
Note to self:
Why do you even bother with the pretenses of maintaining a blog? You never do ANYTHING with it. You disgust me.
Sincerely,
Marcus
